Yoga Reflection
Yoga Reflection Questions:
1. What connections have you had from what you’ve studied in this LW course with what you’ve learned from other courses you have taken at SLCC or have learned before taking this class? Make specific references to your work in this class and in other courses. How did what you learned in other courses enhance what you learned here, and vice versa?
By taking a wellness course, it helps with not worrying so much in my other classes. I was able to have better focus in my other class, and I think it was because of learning how to deep breath in Yoga and learn to relax my mind and body. I was also taking Sacred Traditions this semester, so I was interested in the Yoga sacred practices, and I discovered that many yoga practices come from Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism religions.
2. Reflect on what you thought about fitness and lifelong wellness before you took this course and how you think about it now that you have completed the course. Have any of your assumptions or understandings changed? Why? What assignments/activities/readings were influential in this process? How will you approach what influenced you differently in the future?
I didn't think much of fitness and lifelong wellness before taking this class. After taking this class, I think taking a wellness course is very important. Also, now I’m wanting to take a fitness and life wellness course every semester even if I have to audit the class because by working out I feel much more grounded and it helps with keeping the stress down from all the other courses that I take.
The two most important modules that I did was module 3 and module 4. The first one reminded me that I could make healthy cheap meals at home in a short amount of time and the second one reminded me to make time to get out and walk in nature.

Signature Assignment(s)
Reflection Module 3
in 3-5 sentences, write about your experience with the Module 3 challenge from last week. Consider answering some or all of the following questions: How did it feel? What did you learn about yourself? What behaviors do you want to continue? What would you change if you did the challenge again? What obstacles did you need to overcome to complete the challenge?
Your Answer:
For the last challenge, I chose to create three recipes from the recipe book God and Cheap recipes.
The first recipe I made was Banana Pancakes. I ran into a couple of problems making this one because I didn't make sure that I had everything on hand before making this. I had sour milk, but luckily I had a can of evaporated milk on hand that I used in the recipe. Then I realized that I did not have syrup for the pancakes, but I had cocoa powder on hand, so I ended up making a chocolate syrup from scratch, and these turned out fantastic and delicious after all the problems. Next time I make these, I will make sure I have all the ingredients first.
The second recipe I made was Oatmeal with Bananas on top and real cream this time! That was yummy too!
The last recipe I made was my all time favorite Tomato and eggs scramble. I added some green onions to the dish and served it on top of some white rice.
I've downloaded this recipe book so that I can try all the recipes!

Reflection Module 4
In 3-5 sentences, write about your experience with the Module 4 challenge from last week. Consider answering some or all of the following questions: How did it feel? What did you learn about yourself? What behaviors do you want to continue? What would you change if you did the challenge again? What obstacles did you need to overcome to complete the challenge?
Your Answer:
For the last challenge, I chose to go on a 20-minute brisk walk on two separate days. On both days I walked all the paths in Murray Park. I like that place because it has a variety of challenging uphill trails with flat pathways. The hardest part of this challenge was finding a day where I had enough free time to walk. I learned that this task was not that difficult to complete and when I was doing this challenge I was surprised that I could walk faster without wheezing and getting too tired like I initially thought before I took on this challenge. I felt like I had more energy after walking on these days than I otherwise would have. I love walking out in nature, but I have always just taken my time going slow, so in the future, I will add walking briskly to some of my walks.
